How I Make it Fun
Guitar Lessons should be fun, and I’ll teach you the songs you love. I’ll make it not too easy and not too hard and I’ll bring my love of music and teaching to each lesson. Learning to play the Guitar is a rewarding and fun experience that you will always keep with you.
Philosophy
My approach to private music lessons is both unique and compelling. While I use a set curriculum as a foundation, I personalize each lesson to cater to the individual student’s aspirations and objectives for musicianship. My teaching style emphasizes playing fundamentals while incorporating underlying theory to encourage creativity and musical exploration in every student.
Who
I provide music lessons to students of all ages, including both kids and adults. While some guitar teachers avoid teaching younger students due to a lack of formal training, patience, or preference for adult company, I hold a degree in Music Education, possess years of experience teaching students, and thoroughly enjoy working with children.
What
My area of expertise lies in instructing novice and intermediate guitar players who aspire to play rock and/or folk music on either the electric or acoustic guitar. Whether my students aim to become the next rock sensation or simply wish to strum tunes by the campfire with their loved ones, I believe that learning guitar is a fulfilling and delightful experience for all.
Availability and Rates
I offer private lessons in Woodstock, GA, Tuesday through Friday, from 11 am to 7 pm. The cost of private lessons is $60 per hour or $30 per half-hour, and I accept payment in the form of cash, check, credit card, or online payment via Zelle, PayPal or Venmo.

About Tim
Based in Woodstock, GA, Tim is a skilled guitarist, songwriter, and private music instructor with extensive experience in the music industry. Throughout his career, he has performed and created creative content for corporations, small businesses, and individuals. As a working musician, Tim has contributed to live productions, music videos, soundtracks, and video games. Currently, he is focusing on songwriting and offering private guitar education to aspiring musicians.
Tim takes a distinctive and engaging approach to private music lessons. He uses a set curriculum as a basis, but customizes each lesson to meet the specific goals and aspirations of the student. By teaching fundamental playing techniques supported by underlying theory, Tim encourages creativity and exploration of music in all of his students.
With over twenty-five years of experience playing in live bands and touring, Tim is a seasoned musician whose professionalism and proficiency on guitar are matched by his inspiring attitude towards music. These days, his main focus is on songwriting, particularly in the Americana/Folk Acoustic guitar style. Tim’s original compositions are heavily influenced by artists such as The Avett Brothers, Blackberry Smoke, John Prine, and The Beatles.
